As founder and guiding force behind Retina Specialty Institute, Dr. Gupta devotes his heart, mind and intuition to the science and art of the retina. He draws a parallel between people’s ability to see and their overall quality of life and is determined to enhance both. Dr. Gupta respects patients as equal partners in their care.
Dr. Gupta set out studying engineering, but after completing an internship that intersected with medicine, he realized his true calling was that of a physician. He went to medical school and discovered his love for ophthalmology—something he wanted to be the authority in by specializing in the retina.
He has witnessed tremendous progress in his field and forecasts the next 10 to 15 years will lead to unprecedented, life-changing advances. He embraces the challenges embedded in retina care, loves his patients and cannot imagine another job in the world more gratifying.
